play with my cats more

I didn’t think it would at first. When I had my first cat and brought in a second when she was already 8 or 9 years old, she hated the kitten so bad and was completely oblivious to it. Now, when she died a year or so later, the kitten was absolutely heart broken. So I got him a kitten. Now those 2 on the other hand hit it off right from the start – playing together, fighting with each other, cuddling each other, eating together… It is so funny how they sometimes try to trick each other and get the other in trouble! :)

It’s definitely nicer for them to have company of their own kind. I have a boy and a girl, about 1 1/2 apart in age. They really love each other and keep each other occupied.

so I didn’t play with them today…but that doesn’t mean I don’t love them…and I did chase Button around a bit. I found him sitting in the bathtub. They just love that thing. They also like to sit on their butts 90% of the day. But who doesn’t? :) I might if I could…

Sometimes they can make me mad, like when they spray on my clean laundry once in a blue moon. But no matter what, I love these two furry guys! And I love playing with them too. Here’s a pic of Queenie in her new sweater I just finished knitting for her.

or at least one of them did…went downstairs to do laundry and found that my clean, dry clothes in the dryer had been peed on by the strong, disgusting smell of cat pee. pretty sure it was button. queenie is a sweetheart. also, the fact that I found button INSIDE the dryer doesn’t help his case.

what am i going to do!!!! i hate cat pee. it’s not even like we don’t change his litter on a regular basis, because we do! i don’t understand why he would do this and now i am wondering how i can get that smell out! there are no windows downstairs so it is not like I can just open the windows either…

I have added the cats grooming to my list of regularly schedule chores. So now they are very well groomed kitties.
