play with my cats more

so i picked up a couple toys and just starting playing with them…always so much fun watching them jump around

and bought them some new furry mice and scratching pads. Their old scratching pads were well past their prime, and you can never have too many furry mice. You never know where they end up going, but most of them end up turning back up somehow, LOL. My cats only like the furry mice, though, that rattle. The non-rattle kinds they don’t really care for that much. They mice I got are black & white, and creepily look like miniature skunks! My little girl loves them!

I didn’t think it would at first. When I had my first cat and brought in a second when she was already 8 or 9 years old, she hated the kitten so bad and was completely oblivious to it. Now, when she died a year or so later, the kitten was absolutely heart broken. So I got him a kitten. Now those 2 on the other hand hit it off right from the start – playing together, fighting with each other, cuddling each other, eating together… It is so funny how they sometimes try to trick each other and get the other in trouble! :)

It’s definitely nicer for them to have company of their own kind. I have a boy and a girl, about 1 1/2 apart in age. They really love each other and keep each other occupied.

so I didn’t play with them today…but that doesn’t mean I don’t love them…and I did chase Button around a bit. I found him sitting in the bathtub. They just love that thing. They also like to sit on their butts 90% of the day. But who doesn’t? :) I might if I could…

Sometimes they can make me mad, like when they spray on my clean laundry once in a blue moon. But no matter what, I love these two furry guys! And I love playing with them too. Here’s a pic of Queenie in her new sweater I just finished knitting for her.
