Went to the gym with mom. Had our orientation so we’re official members now. Walked on the treadmill for 25 minutes, burned about 120 calories and went about 1.5 miles (I think).
Also used the eliptical for 20 (grueling) minutes and burned an amazing 175 calories. Went like 1.6 miles.
Surprisingly, I’m not even sore today. Which is good news because we’re going again tomorrow.
I’m already noticing benefits from this, such as:
I went to bed early last night and slept like a baby.
I feel like I have more energy already. ish.
I feel better about eating tons of cookies. Which I have no intention of stopping. (at the moment, anyway).

Need to exercise regularly – get a dog. I’m walking at least 30 minutes at least 5 times per week. Thank you Mickey!

This is the last week of the Healthy lifestyle challange. I have failed…but in this I have learned.
It’s not just keeping up with the exercise and eating right if you forget to take care of the rest of your life. I was so tired the days that I exercised and tried to over do it. But when I got enough sleep and ate right and then did my exercise I felt much better!

My work place has issued a healthy living challenge. I have decided that it would be very beneficial to my health to participate in this challenge. The program started 3-2-09 and will last for 8 weeks.
Week 1 my goal was to exercise just 3 times during the week. I accomplished this goal by walking Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
This week in addition to the exercise we will add drinking 24oz of water each day.

I’m starting slowly, so it’s more of a walk/jog on the treadmill a few days ago, and an aerobics tape today. Wow, I was surprised that the intermediate level aerobics tape could be so challenging. Nonetheless, I enjoyed every minute of it.

I ran for 35 minutes first thing this morning. I thought I would be tired after, but I jumped in the shower and it was like it never happened. Tomorrow I can’t run in the morning because I have a class I can’t be late to, but if I feel up to it I’ll go to the gym after work. But it’s on for another morning run on Wednesday.
