see a double rainbow

Living where we do, I have been privileged to see many double rainbows and they are an amazing sight to behold! I saw my first one when I was 19, and continue to see them every now and again to this day :D

I saw a double rainbow and it was in Hawaii. I was in awe I thought it was beautiful!!

I think I have seen them at Macchu Pichu and Iguacu falls. I must remember to post the photo here someday.

Does anyone know why they sometimes are mirror image in terms of the order of the spectrum, and sometimes the same?

I was a softball practice a couple weeks ago. It was raining in areas around us, but later on the sun came out in the west and to the east it was dark from the clouds and against the clouds were these rainbows. At first there was one completely visable, but the other appeared later on. I love seeing rainbows and seeing double was a nice sight as well.

I was in town when all of a sudden a storm came. It lasted for a several minutes with hail bigger than the size of a pea. When I was driving home I happend to look to my right and in the sky was a rainbow and then right above it there was another one! I was sooo suprised. It was one of the most beautiful and amazing things I’ve ever seen. I’ll never forget that.

Sometimes ,after severe rainstorms, double rainbows show up over the field across the street from my house. It always makes me stop to look.

...we arrived in Grand Cayman in a downpour. After about 30 minutes, the rain stopped and a double rainbow appeared over the cruise ship.

This was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen. Two huge, perfectly shaped rainbows in the Finnish sky. I saw it on a porch overlooking some trees, mostly just the sky, uninterrupted. ‘twas gorgeous.
