own a Vespa

i just love the idea of riding around town, the sun on your back, the wind in your hair!!

I’d really like a yellow vespa… I think it’s only because Haruko from FLCL has one. Either way, it’d be so much fun and pretty efficient too. The only problem is, I can’t even drive yet! I doubt my mom would ever let me have a vespa until I’m much older… and of course, I buy it myself.

I live in a small town in central califronica (very small) and my college is in the next town out, about 10 miles. My college next semester isn’t offering transportation for us, so this seems like a really good opportunity to just get a vespa. Im going to have to work really hard to earn the money, but it’s a really exciting feeling to just dream about owning one!

I am not sure when my love for Vespa’s began but I totally see myself scooting around town on a motorbike. I guess this would be ideal in a place where the elements are not so severe (at least that is what I tell my hubby, who also wants a bike) but doable in NYC too.

This may be a possibility for us pretty soon…

In crowded European cities, there isn’t a faster way to move than a cool bling-bling Italian Vespa scooter!

I’ve just got other priorities right now. I still want to get a Vespa someday (I’ve been in love with them since I was a little girl), but it isn’t going to happen in the very near future.

If gas really does hit $4/gallon, it just seems like this would make sense, even if I could only use it on a limited basis!

And ride around the place with a scarf on my head like Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday.

okay, so maybe not a vespa but at least a cute scooter. my bf and i actually saved up and i had about $1000 but then “stuff” happened (as it always does) and i used all that money for miscellany.
i really can’t complete this goal until i have another completed – get health insurance.
