I think you are all a bunch of lovely geniuses and I want to be part of your gang!

I’ve kind of been doing this already, I use a nice stainless steel mug (actually I use two that are identical… I think they came with my gramma’s blender). I’ve actually been really good about drinking tea from home. But, having this up here is a good reminder to not go to Starbucks/generic coffee place without the travel mug… which umm, I went on this date thing on Saturday and brought myself, wallet and keys, and well… went to Starbucks and… paper cup. le sigh.

This is a great goal. I’m also kind of putting it up here too to get anyone who stumbles across my 43t to see it and think. Advertising baby, that’s the way to go. (even if they hit 43 the first time already, we can hit it again… or aim for 430 ooh).

I like my new red mug, no more paper cups for me.

not only did I do this.. 2 years ago

I just saved on it altogether. I only drink coffee from home (unless I am on the road, at which point I bring a mug). But hell, if ya never leave home, ya never have to bring the mug. Saves on automobile emmissions, too! Less car maintenance, less auto emmissions, less trees cut down for the paper coffee cups, and less shiza from people in general if ya just STAY HOME! LOL!

A New Travel Mug 2 years ago

I bought a new travel mug today. My older metal one was getting scratched up and stained, so I got a new one that is stronger and transparent. I like it.

I have a stainless steel one as well. And yes you’re right, we did raise some awareness at least.

monkeys and stainless steel 2 years ago

I have an awesome mug with monkeys on it that I use for tea. I think it’s made of clay or something, handcrafted in Mexico? Well, I bought it at my co-op, so I think it’s socially and environmentally responsible (aside from transportation from Mexico).

I also bought a Klean Kanteen (kleankanteen.com) a while ago. It’s made with healthier stainless steel (vs plastic or aluminum). I use it to carry water with me, avoiding bottled water most of the time (except at airports, now that you can’t bring liquids past security, though I suppose I could fill it up after that).

My Coffee Maker and My Thermos 2 years ago

I did it! I made a pot of coffee this morning and I fixed it just as I like it (some reduced fat 1/2 and 1/2 and a bit of sugar) and used a funnel to pour it into my trusty hospice thermos and it was piping hot when I arrived at work AND it perfectly filled my big coffee mug in the office! What a great idea this goal was! And when this has become a true habit for me, I will retire this goal. But not yet!

To Me! I’ve been keeping up with it too :)

The new coffeemaker will help 2 years ago

because now I can set it to make my pot of coffee here before I leave for work and then I can pour some of that coffee into the new thermos that I got from hospice as a Christmas gift and then I can drive to work with my favorite coffee. It is definitely one of those synchronicity moments!
