pcyclepath dreaming about cycling on sunshine again :)
The city I live still remains undiscoreved. I don’t even know the names of the major streets. Perhaps I should adopt a similar goal for 2008 (later on).
Jenny is working.
I didn’t get to see 12 new places in my city, but I’ve explored so many other things during that year as my father died in february and I became a mother in may.
Worth doing!
It took some time but I feel like I’ve seen and done quite a bit since moving here. Still lots to visit and explore…
november – tour of the downtown highrise under construction
december – the raven grill for my 30th birthday… and the spinach & sweet potato enchiladas are incredible!!
Worth doing!
I went to the big expensive Movie Theater across town as #12…I also want to recap the other places in my city that I went to this year, that I had not been to in a decade…Fondern Building, Bonzai, and more that I can’t place right now…I count this as done.
You can find better versions of these elsewhere, but i really liked it. Besides, i heard it used to be bigger before the construction that is going on downtown. I always love these things, with such cute things to buy and lots of food. I didn’t buy much, except a hot dog and chips. I ate that while listening to some live music. I had planned to go there for lunch every Friday, but i think i’ve only gone 2-3 times. Oops.
Now my entries are a little out of place because i forgot about some new places i went. I had never been here before going to some JW convention on the way to a party. I went with my friends James and Meaghan. None of us were, are, or planning to become JW. James just likes to go to that type of stuff and well, he was driving. This was in April.
A couple months later me, my bro, and my friend Daselle went there, by a different building to walk around outside while Anime Expo. We were filming mocking video, but i have yet to edit it. Don’t expect to anytime soon eiher. Eventually ;)
I most recently went there to see HSM: The Ice Tour. It was awesome even if everyone was under 7 or the mother of someone under 7. I thought the majority of the fans were teeny boppers so we wouldn’t be toooo out of place! Oh well.
Worth doing!
Seeing that I’m not going to be in Canberra for the rest of the year I’d better update this one!
Akuna Club – went there with my friend Alex for Christmas Drinks. I’ve walked past a number of times so it was interesting to see what it was like. Nothing to write home about but another new place.
Kaleen Pool – have been there a few times for the Women’s Triathlon Training program. Would never have gone that far to go swimming without the training program, so it’s been interesting for me.
Musica e – a pizza restaurant in Belconnen where the owner comes and sings. Great fun.
Auditorium at the Vikings Sports Club in Erindale – we went to the ACT Fitness Industry awards. My personal trainer was nominated for an award (by us) and was a finalist – a great night out in a really good venue – she didn’t win which just goes to show the strength of the winning nominee.
