... a book on weight training. I figure, at the minimum I’d better know more than this book does, so I’ll make sure to read it up front.
How I did it: get educated. certifications/degree in related field/study and practice. trained myself/talked to as many possible clients as possible. and read "the psychology of selling" by Tracy. anyone looking into or in sales must read that book.
Lessons & tips: talk to as many people in the field as possible. you have to go in fearless and without doubt. fake confidence until it takes over for real
Resources: NASM is the best cert in the country. do it.

I got sick. This throws a wrench in just about everything, as it interrupts my workouts, and there’s a bunch of work that needs to be done for the closing of the house my parents are selling, so I’m having a hard time getting to that. Both of these things interfere with my internship, which I’m worried about also.
When does my internship end? I don’t know. I haven’t broached the subject yet, and I’m hoping they’ll just let me stay, but I have no idea. I need more time.

... I designed a conditioning workout for capoeira. It’s crude, but it’s my first time really putting together a workout. Hopefully one of many.

... studying for all this, but there’s just so much to learn. I read a book about nutrition, and I’m reading another, denser one, and I’m reading articles on bodyrecomposition.com, but I hardly even understand what they’re talking about half the time.
I’m learning from my internship, and the free classes, and my other workouts, but there are so, so many factors and variations to everything.
I keep at it, but that doesn’t make it any less overwhelming in scope.

The guy who does my hair seems to have a certain amount of faith in my abilities as a trainer (misplaced if you ask me, but whatevs); I’m considering offering to train him for free, in exchange for getting to use him as a guinea pig. I’m thinking I could write up a “no fault” agreement, or whatever they’re called, and then go from there.
An interesting possibility.

I finished what could be the first of many 6-day workout weeks. I’ve got today off, and I’m going to do as little as possible. One hour or more per day, six days a week. This could definitely wear me down, or build me up.
The possibilities are exciting.

.... I got in on an actual class held by one of the trainers. He said, ‘we have class at this time,’ and since I was going to be there anyway, I went. What threw me off was that the class consisted of three girls with an average age of 10. It was difficult, nonetheless.
It was an interesting experience, but I can’t imagine what they thought of me being there. :)
