it’s working, very difficult in the beginning but I notice small changes. The key is to reformulate any negative thought in a positive one…it can be annoying at times but it worths trying.



First steps 8 months ago

I have the tendency to worry too much about things instead of enjoying the good moments. This is affecting my life negatively and I’d like to change it; I use to call it “realistic thinking” – a sort of excuse for seeing the negative side or looking for problems in everything. I want to replace the negative thoughts with positive ones. I saw the DVD “The Secret” some months ago and I applied some of the techniques described in it and it worked at the time, afterwards I stopped using it. Now I’m again in a moment when I need to find orientation, so i bought the book “The Secret” and I’ll start reading it and practice the advice they give.

Negative thoughts since I was very young - gotta reverse them! 23 months ago

I can remember being as young as 8 years old and saying to myself things like “everything happens to ME!” and “Why do I have all the bad luck?”. As you can imagine, this has been very damaging to my psyche, and I’ve been trying to reverse it for years (with moderate success). I want to keep thinking positive until it becomes automatic.

I am marking this done. I have really made a lot of progress in this area and have been consistent with this for over a week. I will continue to work on this but I feel I’m doing great and I can check this off. I am amazed at what I can get done when I am in the right frame of mind.



I think I'm getting the hang of it 3 years ago

I have really been working on this one a lot. Everytime I would feel discouraged (which is a lot right now) I have forced myself to think of things that I’m grateful for and find something that has gone right that day. I have also been using affirmations which seem to help.

With all the debt I owe this is really hard but I’m not giving up. I know that this too shall pass.
