soccer, volley ball and badminton.

Soccer 2 years ago

Life lessons learned about receiving a ball and passing it to the next player, in order to achieve a goal. A wonderful game of triangles that will keep you in shape for the rest of your life.

I absolutley love team sports! 2 years ago

I am so amped to get back into team sports this year, I think that they are absolutely fantastic. I am a massive fan of beach volleyball, basketball, girls footbal and netball. All great team sports. It gives an individual a great social outlet, and is great for many other aspects of life. University offers a wide range of team sports to get involved in, and hopefully this year I will get chosen to play University games interstate for basketball or softball.
Yay!

I was always the last one picked... 2 years ago

...for the team when I was in school. Huge klutz. I’m still (often very) klutzy, but I’ve gotten a bit more coordinated at some things, such as throwing and catching balls and frisbees, etc. (And who would have guessed…I can dance like nobody’s business!) So, at the age of 31, I’m ready to give this another shot. I’d LOVE to do roller derby, but can’t seem to get a response from the local team. There’s always softball, but I’m afraid I’d be so bad at hitting the damn thing…well, we’ll see this summer!

Note the 'team' bit 3 years ago

Back in the days of yore, I used to be quite a competitive and totally mediocre squash player. And not long before that I was an uber-competitive and even worse squash player. A bad sport. But I mellowed.

Anyway, that’s a different thingtm, but my point is, that (along with a bit of lacklustre high school tennis and that sort of thing) is my entire background in sport. And I have decided that I really want to be part of a sports team as opposed to a one on one competitor.

The problem is, I’m pretty shit at sports.

Any suggestions?
