I need to beak this into small steps.
1. Get board (or decide on something I already have)
2. Get supplies (glues, more pictures, embellishments)
3. Decide on a layout
4. Make the damn board
I just had the greatest idea! Mini vision boards! Portable, maybe 2×3” (take it with you anywhere), private (keep your vision to yourself), focus your vision (they can be themed, you can choose 1-3 ideas to focus your energy on).
Oh, my God! I love it! 10 hours ago

How I did it: I saved a bunch of poems and quotes, also motivational pictures, and alter which ones to put on there.
A lot are about working out, playing sports, relaxing, self-control, freedom, confidence and exploration.
I change it up so it doesn't get too part-of the scenery and keep it by my mirror.

I have visions of beautiful, circular housing communities built around massive parks.
Sustainability is key, walking and biking are the best forms of transport + great public transportation.
Food is grown locally.
More communal space, smaller private dwellings.
Shared yards.
Grocery stores are within walking distance.
Retirement homes are located adjacent to schools so that the children and elders can help take care of each other.
Greywater is recycled locally.
Maybe 10 or 12 of these Park groups would be around a central “downtown” area of the city.
I want communities to be beautiful again. :) 4 days ago

I never heard of a VB until over new year’s weekend. I am a very goals oriented person so it made sense to me to have a VB. I’m also very organized so I created the VB based on areas in my life I know I want to focus on – health, travel, culinary, etc. Then based around these categories I included things I know I want to accomplish. It’s a great tool and definitely worth doing! 3 weeks ago

A crude prototype albeit, but still a vision board =) 1 month ago

I slowly taped photos, post cards, child drawings, notes, quotes, and lovely magazine photos above my computer. Anything that made me smile or feel happy / hopeful. It’s sort of a mish-mash, but I had to let go of my perfectionistic tendency in order to have one at all. And I know I can add / move things any time so it never has to be perfectly finished. 1 month ago

Some of the things that spoke to me when creating the board were different than what I thought I was going to put on the board. Once I stopped letting the logical part of my mind interfere, a lot of meaningful internal stuff came out. 1 month ago
