create a vision board

Doing all I can to avoid working on my ecology class has been a real boon for this goal!

Instead of reading chapters and typing up assignments, Ive been thumbing through magazines, cutting out pictures, printing off images, and starting to arrange them on the board.

I completed the background a couple weeks ago but have yet to glue anything else down, as I want to have everything there before I do a final arrangement. There are still many images I need to find, so Im not sure if I’ll be able to do the reveal on Thanksgiving Eve, but we’ll see.

It seems like I can;t get to my homework unless my room is clean and tidy. Today, just when I started, I realized what a mess my bulletin board was. I also realized that there was so much junk on it and none of it was very inspiring so I turned my bulletin board into a vision board. Not a lot on there to tell you the truth, healthy body, nice furniture, house, travel, friends, food, skiing, biking, dancing, University, toastmasters, nice car, career aspirations and a list of 10 goals, pretty much all of those mentioned above. I find that when I solidify goals on a paper or even better a vision board, they tend to happen more quickly.

I came across this goal randomly today, and it seemed a bit fortuitous since I had cleaned out a space on my wall today specifically for that purpose! Tonight I’m going to print out some pictures of my goals, and finally get a proper vision board up!

Tonight I will commence putting this together!

I’m going to read more about it and put together one.

My vision board will be a visual representation of my biggest hopes, dreams, aspirations. I’m young. I want to live a complete and full life. There’s so much beauty out there just waiting for me, and I want to see, touch, smell, hear FEEL all of it.

Each time I look at my vision board, I’ll be fueled with passion. I’m a driven girl. I’m getting closer to it all.

giving this another go

might join in on the Thanksgiving Eve reveal, all depends upon how much luck I have finding the words, phrases, and pictures that I want~

I’ve started to question the value of this goal. I got about a quarter of the way through it in the first few days and sort of moved on to other things. Now that I look back on it, I’m not sure it’s a valuable use of my time. I haven’t had motivational problems for the last 6-12 months, and this project just seems like busy work at this point. I’m on the fence…

If I’m still on the fence the next time I read this, I’m cancelling it.

I have found a box of old magazine clippings. I need to go through them and see if any of these are things I still want today.

I got a free hanging corkboard from work to begin this project. Once the studio is finished I will hang it up in there.
