PasadenaSueFirst one is "done" but I want to create more vision boards.

This is my first effort at creating a vision board. Now that it is real, I understand that I need to create another vision board. This one is more my short term vision of what I want in my life. I need one (or more) that show what my long term goals are in my life.

It was fun. I made it more difficult than it needed to be. And I laugh that I had most of the images arranged along the horizontal and vertical axes. The next one will be more free form. Life doesn’t always line up along the X and Y axes…. :) 1 week ago

PasadenaSueNearly finished!

I added more pictures and some sayings to my board. I need 2 or 3 more items to call it complete. Progress, and it has me thinking about what I want to do over the next few years.

This is a fun goal, and a positive goal. When I finish this board, I want to make one for work. 2 months ago

PasadenaSueHalfway done

I finally got to work on this and I have half the board completed. I need to find pictures of the house I want to buy to add to the board. I also realized that the images I have now only contain one person. I need some “social” images. It is interesting how the pictures I have selected have something to tell me. 2 months ago

PasadenaSueStarted my vision board today.

This is an easy goal, so I am surprised I have taken so long to make progress. Today I cut out some images of things I want in my life and taped them to my vision board. There is a lot of space left for other things I want in my life – which is fine. I am happy that I have started and have some images on my board. :) 2 months ago

aswedishlimeDONE!

(I have no idea how some people can crank theirs out in an afternoon. This took me days!!)

I’m pleased with the end result. It took forever to get the arrangement right, but it’s done and I’m happy for this accomplishment. My first vision board – yay! 2 months ago

And I have two corners in place!

Hoping the rest of my images fit ok! 2 months ago

Daffer_KentI like the idea of visualising my goals

My sister uses the analogy that life is like a super-tanker, small changes change your life direction, and super-tankers are hard and slow to turn, so small adjustments are all that is needed.

I get caught up in the day to day grind, the hamster wheel of life…..get up, kids ready, go to work, weekends about housework…all that. 43 things is a great place to remind myself about my hopes, dreams, aspirations…..and to get cracking on them.

Another affirmation I like, is that drop by drop, my interest becomes a flood (or something like that, poorly paraphrased!). The idea that whatever sliver of time or interest you show, it all is a trickle towards your goals.

So however slight my writing here is, it is a trickle towards my goal.

A vision board, is another powerful way of telling my subconscious what I am interested in, and to FOCUS.

PasadenaSueI want to take photos of things I want for my vision board.

There is a house I would like to buy in my neighborhood that I want to photograph. And I want to start riding again, so I will take a photo of a horse on the local horse path. Add a garden and chicken coop, and this could be fun checking out places to get photos. 3 months ago

PasadenaSueNow that I understand what a vision board is about...

I realize I need to create one. I often put up pictures of my goals on bulletin boards, so this will be a more formal process of visualizing what I want in my life.

Plus it is fun to find pictures that represent my goals! I like this goal since it also allows me to be creative. :) 3 months ago

khaosinkinemacreate a vision board - part 2

Hello again.

Sometimes inspiration comes from this site (Sometimes?! Ah. I should be here way more often!) in form of “How I did it”s, and I am actually kind of grateful for this now. Somehow I found a page online where you can make vision boards for free (or collages in general), it’s called PhotoVisi ... (I hope the link will work!)

I made two vision boards so far, one on the subject of animals I’d love to give a home to, and also one on the subject of TRAVELLING. I will make more of course, but so far, I am really proud. :)

I still want to do something offline, concerning this subject, but I made the experience that printing the pictures I wanted turned out the way that they were rather small, and since I like bigger pictures more, I decided to work on the vision boards online first, and then print them :D, and lastly maybe add some effects and other pictures once I am holding the vision board in my hands.

So thank you for the inspiration, people of 43Things! :D 3 months ago
