So I made a start and did a mini-vision board about diet.
One thing I learnt was that it takes FOREVER to find and cut out all the words and pictures; I made a start on the fitness sqaure (I think I’ll put it together patchwork style) but didn’t have any fitness specific pictures of words and couldn’t find anything good on the internet.

How I did it: The idea of a vision board intrigued me. To be sure that I understood what it was, I looked it up on the internet and read several entries. I found that not only would I create a vision board, but I would also use it to attract those things that I would like to have in my life.First, I went through several magazines, clipping out photos that related to the things that I wanted to have in my life. These included not only materi… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I had 2 girlfriends over and we all brought a bunch of magazines and made our vision boards. Then we all had a beer and gave a presentation about what it all means to us. It was a great day with friends. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I made a vision board using different cut outs of things I wanted to do and acheive. I completed it, looked at it everyday for a week. After that, I kind of filed it away. There was a picture of a girl I wanted to date. I super-imposed a picture of her and I hanging out in a park. Strangely, after it was out of sight, it actually happened. A month later we actually went out to a park and we went out to eat later that evening and we had dri… Read how I did it…

How I did it: I used a large piece of bristol board, canvas would work as well. Used google images to find pics that represented my currant goals, pinted them, cut them out, and glued them on. I sorrted them into main sections such as entertainment/just for fun goals, career, health and future. Starting at the corners and working my way towards the center, adding quotes that I enjoy to it and find helpfull. Its relatively small at … Read how I did it…
How I did it: I bought a sheet of black poster board at a craft store and found motivational images in magazines and online. It took a while to find all of the images that I had in mind, but that's okay. Then I glued everything onto the poster board. I hung it above my dresser, so that I can clearly see it from my bed. But I’m not entirely sure. I used to do collages on card and put them in glass frames. I think I’ll dig them out and replace the collage with a vision board _ time to start hoarding the magazines.
Lauren is ready for another great day!
I bought a big display board like those for science fairs at Staples and started sorting magazines, newspapers, and stuff for it.

I found a good piece of corrugated cardboard I’d like to use for this. And I’ve started thinking about the types of things I’d like to include.

I don’t just want to make the vision board and then never get to using it, but I want to prove to myself that I can obtain everything I put on it, too.
i finished one vision board aimed at a particular aspect of my life. it feels good to look at it – the energy around this area of my life feels less frenetic and more focused.
i’m going to make another one for another part of my life. i’d like to break ground with this one sometime this week.
i also put up another affirmation on my belief board. it’s been really effective so far.
well, i am almost done with the vision board that i started. i’m going to keep staring, thinking, feeling about it for a few days before i get it printed.
in the meantime, i set up a belief board to remind myself of important behaviors i need to reinforce. i got the idea from that super-wiz steve pavlina: http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/2009/05/creating-a-belief-board/
the belief board has been pretty effective. the font i used is huge and it’s prominently displayed in my room. i could see the words in my mind’s eye throughout the day. gentle reminders.

Now that I’ve set a challenge for myself and consequences for not meeting the deadline, I am making good progress on this. I really don’t want to have to eat the photos that I cut out for my vision board so I intend to complete it by the deadline.
I printed out some more, and larger, photos related to my goals. The project board that I purchased for this goal made the photos I had already cut out look small and sort of lost on the board. The photos I found online are better proportioned in relation to the project board. Should be able to finish this either tonight or tomorrow. Then I will be able to start using it.
