quitejaded feels really good!
How I did it: Maybe I should have clicked "given up". I read all the books that are in my bookshelf in my room, but not in the whole house. I was originally planning on that but after reading the stuff in my room, i found it to be a waste of time.It felt good to finally finish books I would have really liked when I was younger and didn't have the ability to read (I have a reading disability so it was very hard for me to finish books). I don't know what… Read how I did it…

How I did it: I love to read, I also love buying books. It goes hand in hand when your addicted to them lol. I finally read all the books I purchased last summer. Now I can buy new ones guilt free and enjoy them! Read how I did it…
Angel finally feels so very free and grateful!
How I did it: I am a voracious reader, as well as a Comparative Literature major, so this task was not exactly difficult for me. I found my self in the position of being tempted to spend my funds for materials for classes such as Calculus and Geology on literary fair of a different classification, even though I had plenty of extracurricular reading to get through. In order to keep myself on track, and save some much needed cash, I decided to put a hold… Read how I did it…
How I did it: Having a sedentary job certainly made this arduous task easier- and working in a bookstore made it much more fun.The process was fairly basic- pick up a book, turn pages, set it down, pick up the next. In a nod to my English teacher, I did make a point of writing down a few sentences about the ones I particularly liked. Read how I did it…

bkwriter4life is full of joy!
Apart from owning almost every Stephen King novel written, I own other genre novels that I have not read at all. So the goal is to read these! It’s neat because it’ll be great number counts for my other goal to read 1,000 books in less than ten years! :)
To reading I go!
P.S. 43 things needs to find a way to have an undo option when you accidentally click that you’ve completed something.
myratstinks scammed a day off work to be lazy
i really need to do this haha. i have 100+ books just sitting there brand new or half read

I want to add to this goal . . . I don’t want to just read every book I own, but I want to get the most out of it that I can. I sometimes can read an entire page and have to keep re-reading it over and over. I really enjoy reading when I can focus and get what their saying, but I hate when I keep getting distracted and do what I call “zombie” reading (reading the words but not hearing or getting it at all).
So as I’m reading all the books I own, I want to take notes, give myself “assignments”, reflect on what I’ve read, etc.

Okay, I think it’s due to distractions, I can’t read in my living room, as there’s the laptop and the xbox. My new approach is to firstly seperate my bookshelf into read and un-read, then read while sitting on my bed with some light music on the ipod in the background. I’ll attempt to do this for at least one hour every day for the next month and see how I go. I think by the time I plough through the first few books, I’ll be able to see myself finishing the task. I’m also not buying any new books till I’ve done this.

It is slow, but steady . . . I read almost everyday during my lunch break. My favorite types of books are motivating, self-help, daily devotional, etc. Since I’ve started reading these uplifting books almost daily I can really tell a positive difference in my attitude and outlook.
Now I just need to add a little more reading time to my week (like before bed, weekends).
