I made Sandtarts again this year. They turned out alright, except the 2 pans that we burned. We’ll keep working.

I made sugar cookies with the apartment downstairs. WOOHOO:) 5 more cookies to go!
I don’t know what they are SUPPOSED to look like, but they sure are delicious. I found the recipe online. And it said to use a cookie press…well, I don’t have a cookie press, so I made a makeshift frosting bag and just squeezed out little rose shapes and pretzel shapes and such. They are TASTY!!!
I made sandtarts. They are a tradition in the King family. And I’ve heard pretty hard to make. I can see why it is so difficult. They are SUPER thin and hard to roll out just right. Then you must transfer them onto the cookie sheet and not burn them. Only 3-4 minutes in the oven each. But I did it!!! I made several dozen. And we shared them with some friends at church. Now I just need to make 7 more batches of cookies to acheive this goal. But I think it’ll be alright if I extend the goal throughout this year or so:)
Shortbread cookies were a success and thanks to a comment posted, I found 5 more recipes:
Ginger Bread People
Peanut Butter Cookies
Stained Glass Cookies
Weihnachtskekse (German- part of the word means “cookie”)
Snowflakes
I’ll start working on another batch later this week.
I made chocolate chip cookies two weeks ago and I think it is time to make more cookies!!! I’m going to the kitchen RIGHT NOW to whip up a batch of shortbread cookies. I’ve never made them before, but my husband found a recipe and insisted that he wanted to make them. That was 2 weeks ago, so I’m going to make them now!
This Christmas season I would like to make more homemade cookies. I haven’t ever really made many of them to start with, but with my kitchenaid mixer and a desire to start some traditions my first year of marriage, I want to get started! So far, I’ve made homemade chocolate chip cookies. I also have a recipe for sugar cookies and shortbread cookies. I guess I just have 7 more to find:)
