How I did it: After endless hot flashes, which disrupted my sleep, severe migraines, and other hormonally-related horrors, I finally asked my ob-gyn for some help.
Rather than take a HRT pill, she recommended a ring, which has far fewer side effects. While it hasn't eliminated the hormonal problems, they have greatly lessened, which it has made the whole thing much more bearable.
Lessons & tips: Don't be afraid to ask your doctor for help.

I have been contemplating age and navel lint and at this juncture neither are relavent.
I have,
1.cut all my hair off
2.got glasses with graduated lenses, which is an nice way to say bifocals for those folks that equate them with Grannies.
3. scheduled knee replacement surgery for May 11th,2009
4. been to the dentist for bridge work
5. wore sensible shoes when I really wanted to wear trainers.which are good with jeans but not really with a day dress.
So I’m thinking, If all this stuff is happening to me,why is it that I feel inside like I did 18 years ago.
I still get silly,I still want to have fun.
Thinking that the package is wearing out but the contents are still
very viable!
Age is good in one sense, I can do more and no one gives me any crap!

is there anything more annoying than going my adult life even my teen years with a clear complection only to have ZITS when I’m 47 this is just stupid, Get over the hormones already will ya!
I’m sulking Walgreens isles like a fugitive.
I now have a basket full of crap that doesn’t work.
Yuck!
I’m going back to plain old hot water on a clean cloth.

I just gave up and slept in a cami. how can a body possibly produce so much moisture when the thermostat is set on 68’F and I only have a thin blanket to sleep with.
They say the the human body is amazing , well yah, but I wish mine was a whole lot less amazing while I sleep.

Ya I’ll survive, will I enjoy the ride. Probably Not, been 3 months. Ya 47 is going to be strange.
All the Female relatives are now gone,no one to compare family notes with.
Not going to Take HRT. My mom was convinced it was what caused her cancer and subsequent death.
Just going to Forge on through like the trooper I have tried to be.
Personal summers do not scare me!

Started taking supplements (Soya based) and Primrose Oil. I believe it is working. The hot flushes are less frequent and I am sleeping better.
