It turns out I passed MLC. FAP will take me about a year… and then there’s that other VEE credit. EA will take me at least a year (two exams, plus that responsible pension experience criteria).
So, a year or so and maybe I’ll be there one way or the other.

So, I’ve taken MLC – waiting for the results.
And before I know if I have to retake MLC, I’ve already signed up for the next thing: FAP. Gah, it looks like it will be a lot of work.
Hopefully, I can do it while retaining more sanity than studying for MLC left me.

I was horrible in math and economics in college. Does anyone feel that this field would not be for me?? I have an undergraduate degree in HR.

Now that I’m teaching EFL, I’ve really lost interest in becoming an actuary. I think languages is where I want to be, teaching and maybe things like translating and editing, too.

I am an Associate Actuary.
I completed my professionalism and ethics course today. I still have 3 exams to pass before I become a Fellow but at least I can officially say that I AM AN ACTUARY :)

Hurrah. I have my one-day course booked now so I will soon be an Associate of the Institute of Actuaries and officially a qualified actuary.
I still will qualify as a fellow later on. 3 more exams to go (inc 1 result pending).

First, I have a job lined up – making me an actuarial associate or somesuch. (YAY paycheck!)
Second, I will have 2/3 VEE credits, once grades are final so I can request a transcript and send in those forms.
Third, I am taking 4/C and M-FE in a little more than a week. Wish me luck!
