To me, being a hippie has nothing to do with the way you dress or the music you listen to, it is more related with the way you think and act. I think Cryssstal (http://www.43things.com/person/Cryssstal) really explains what I mean when she says: “Being a hippie to me is about caring about the world outside your little materialistic life. And though its associated with 60s and 70s, the post modern hippie of today have even realer and tougher issues to battle! Climate change, imbalance of wealth, diseases in the 3rd world, extreme consumerism.”
I don’t consider myself totaly as a hippie yet because I guess I care a little too much about what other people think about me and also I’m still a little too materialistic (especially with books: when I like a book, I really feel the need to own it) 2 years ago
