get a flat screen monitor

My brother bought a new TFT monitor, so I got his old one :)

I’m hoping to buy one this year, but I’m tidying up my 43 things list.

I already had a 17” at work and at home. I felt like rewarding myself one day and got a 19”. What a difference!!! Especially for eyes that are growing older.

It’s a huge difference. No regrets. Now I want another one!

..I got one when I got my new computer. One more off the failed list.

Lucy came home empty-handed and we don’t expect to see the monitor any time soon, if ever. Anyway, seeing as my computer is dying on its big wide bottom, I should probably give up on this goal and concentrate on getting a whole brand spanking new computer.

Lucyann has gone home for Christmas with the promise that she will badger her mum about the monitor she promised me four months ago. Thing is, her mum has a charming habit of making things up, and we suspect that as this was the first time I’d met her, it was an empty like-me/bribery promise. I don’t know why she bothered if that’s the case, I liked her anyway. I like pretty much everyone until they give me reason not to.

it’s not important anyway. it’s all so superficial, isn’t it?

My husband gave me one for Christmas in 2003. I thought it was a waste of money at first, but it was wonderful when I started using it to edit digital photos. Now I go crazy when edit photos and I don’t have it available (i.e., here in Iraq!).

Amazingly enough, my friend’s mum today offered me her old TFT monitor, cos she is getting a new one. Yay!

My desk has so much more space now….and this monitor is SO easy to move.
