move to a large city

I’ve always wanted to be a big city girl. My dad was in the military, so my four siblings and parents moved around quite a bit when we were young. From Oklahoma, upstate New York, Colorado, Germany, Korea, Japan to Florida and finally Alabama – we were transients. Maybe the need to learn to adjust to and tolerate most any place and culture caused this desire to live in a big city (the thought that “i can handle anything, if i handled all this”) or maybe it was caused by living mostly in small towns everywhere we went. I don’t know, but I still have that yearning. I’m nearing 40 now, and soon I’ll get to mark this one off the list! I am moving to Seattle by mid-June. Now, I wonder if it will feel bigger than where I live now or if the area in which I live will become my small town within a large city. hmmm?
