With the recession and everything this is something I definitely want to do and also because I would like my son to have more opportunities than I did so I need to start saving more for his future.

With our baby being born March 6 last year, my thoughts about the monthly budgets went away completely! But now, one year later, I am thinking of it again… My husband and I are going to review things soon. We are going to the bank tomorrow to open a new checking account since we moved states and our old bank was a local credit union.
to keep track of what i spend my money on. In general I have something to write on and a pen on me, so I all I need to complete this goal is persistance.
i started doing this as soon as i opened up my savings & changed my account type. so far so good. i bought myself a lil notebook that has a pocket where i put all my receipts as well. it’s proving a lot easier than i expected…

Free yourself from wondering where the hell your money went!
I am not really sure what I have just signed myself over to, but I do hope it helps me out in the near future

I’m trying to do this but I have trouble.
Always forget to put my numbers in Excel. However, I do budget way more than what I used to.
I’ll try again next month, eh?
I finished organizing the February spending… we didn’t do as badly as I imagined. Hopefully we can stick to a budget for March!

Didn’t do so well with February’s budgeting. Here’s to hoping March is better!
This is made somewhat easier by my concurrent striving to achieve my other goal of spending less money. It really makes you think twice about spending money when you have to write down every last durn item. Establishing this is also helping eliminate my frequent trips to the vending machine which is another one of my vices (junk food). The soda, pretzels, candy didn’t seem like a lot but it turns out I was spending over $20 a week on this teeth rotting, butt lardening garbage. I never realized what a vending machine pig I was! oink
