I keep putting more money away and I haven’t even looked to see what is going on with it….
Come on stock market…...let’s get going.

I am going to take better control of where I put my money, I have left it up to others and that hasn’t worked well at this point. My choices have always been solid. So I am going to invest a little more effort into researching than relying on someone else.
In Romania the land has now ridiculous prices, in both directions,
too high or too low.
That made me take this bold step, land investing.
The only problem here is finding the right person to talk and actually investing with in land and from my experience, in this time and location is a very demanding task.
Any thots on this particular topic?
I’ve invested money with a top broker. This is the first time I’ve done so in my life. So far I’m losing 100’s a month and his fee is more than the interest I am making. Whoo hoo, investing is awesome. I was made to understand that it was good to buy in low…but what difference does that make if I’m losing quite a bit each month? What? Is it going to take a few years to turn around. And the projection of what I am supposedly going to make over the course of the year is so low. Yea for investing. Whoo hoo!
I came up with an idea of selling my small apartment for a exchage to invest in funds. It is a big risk for me. I should learn more about international investments in a short time. It is my first goal.
I finally made myself go get a finacial advisor who (poor man) spent half a day figuring out places to put money in order to keep as much as possible away from the sticky fingers of the taxman! So now I have a couple of tax free investment accounts and an ‘easy access’ one I can move money into each month – oh, and someone to bug me about making sure I do it :D
Counting this goal as ‘done’ for now, since it’ll sit on my list until retire otherwise!
i’ve done both. the key is to diversify, across industry sectors. as the world economy fluctuates, you have some winners and you have some losers. cut your losses quickly, cultivate your winners, and stay on top of every investment with research. not just the canned reseach, use the blogosphere, if it’s a company with products and services you can use, then use them and calibrate your investments with real world experience.
Aaron going to be apple picking.
It’s 10.5% for 3 months… not bad. Assuming your companies stock is stable or increasing, it’s a great deal. I had to roll out last summer to pay for a wedding / honeymoon, and some debt. Right now, I’m back to even, even have some savings. So, time to get back into investing mode.

Money management is something I was not taught as a child. It is a mystery to me.
I always believed I would marry well and be provided for the rest of my life. Unfortunately that did not happen.
So this will be a new adventure into learning about the world of investments.
Anyone care to join me?

totally from scratch, 0, absolute poverty is you can only go up from here.
Over the years I have made money. Making money is easy. Holding on to it is another story ~ especially if you have the tendancy to give everything away like I have in the past.
I have learned it is okay to keep enough for myself. So now I am learning how to wisely invest in my future so that I will not fall through the cracks of our social systems again.
Maybe I can help others protect themselves too.
