From the time I was 12 to some time in my freshman year of college I could do this split all teh way down…and sometimes even with my front foot up on top of something!
I’m about to be a junior. I want this split all the way down again. It especially doesn’t help that in the past two years I’ve managed to sprain both hips – I lost a lot of flexibility when that happened.
Today I did my first split in a few months. I was maybe 6 inches off the ground? If I do it for 1-2 minutes every day I should be back down within a month or two, I hope.
I have another goal of doing my left split all the way down. I was never quite as flexible on that side, but even so, it was probably some time in 8th grade through freshman year of college that I could do it.
Middle split is a third goal. That one I haven’t been able to do all the way down since I was 7, and I feel like it’s not as realistic a goal, but I’ll work on it, nonetheless.
