How I did it: shopping goodwill, thrift stores, savers, any place where you can get a bargain. I thought about the construction, looked at outlandish and conservative fabrics - beaded and sequined to determine what I thought the outfit should look like. I have several "outfits" that will be converted to bellydance costumes.

Lessons & tips: don't skimp on your bra. if you are going to use heavy beading - try sugar petals for bra forms. If you're using medium to little beading, you can purchase new at Walmart. My bra size is 36C - I purchased 36 and 38D bras. to ensure a snug fit and appropriate propping, I inserted felt into the cups.

    So I guess I should change my goal to FINISH a bellydance costume! Well, Saturday begins my first day of “work.” I’m going to get back to making my costume.
