thing for me to do! Last Spring, my sisters did a half marathon, a couple of weekends ago, they did a marathon. The triumph I could see in them was awesome! I have heard people say that finishing a marathon changed their lives…I guess it’s the challenge…
On “Biggest Loser”, they do a marathon. When I watched for my sisters, I saw people of all ages either running, jogging, or walking it. I got inspired! The human spirit makes my heart melt!
I did the Route 66 5K, and did my best time: 43:42! :) I was very proud! I have the Jingle Bell Run on Dec 12…I am going to train and try to beat that time…and I will be on my way for this goal!
The OKC runs are in the Spring…thinking that will be the half marathon I will do.

I want to run in the half marathon, then run in the marathon, just so I can say that I did it.

i’m going to put this goal aside for now until may. it doesn’t make much sense for me to see this in my ‘active’ list while i haven’t even tended to the other preliminary goal of get back on track with running yet.
i have been toying with the idea of preparing (when ready) for the big sur half-marathon that will take place in early november. i briefly thought about the women’s nike half a month or so beforehand, but i’m not excited about running around inside san francisco, or having to compete with others to just participate in a highly demanded event (random selection registration process). plus i like monterey.

Did 7 miles yesterday, beautiful summer evening, felt great but hard work. First run in ages. Bit stiff today, no suprise. Will hopefully run again on Mondy but on earlies so that mightn’t happen.
