Learn to play the electric guitar

Tonight, I’m going to refresh my memory on known chords. I have a daily schedule I’m setting up to try to get that fluency going.

Well, it was a very general goal. I have learned a lot about playing the electric guitar, I can play all the parts of some songs, and can play parts of songs like Sweet Child of Mine. So I think I can cross this off my list.

I want to learn how to play the electric guitar to compliment my electric bass playing. I know a few chords but I am not yet able to play well. I would like to be intermediate to advance by the end of the year.

I finally got enough money to buy an electric guitar! Now I just need to sit down with it for a few hours and figure out how to play it. Too bad work gets in the way sometimes.

Not started on this yet, though not expected too. This is a long term goal of mine but I still definately wanna do it. Got plenty of people offering help which is a good thing. One day I’ll even take them up on it :D

A massive ambition of mine is to learn to play the electric guitar to a quite high standard. My stepdad, is a musician and plays the keyboard and guitar and whenever he went on a gig and left behind his guitar I would pick it up and have a thrash with it, dreaming of one day being able to play it well.

Music plays a massive roll in my life, I say massive, I’m not a musician or a singer but I really love listening to it and it helps me find myself. Most of my top hits have been ones with cool guitar solos or at least a good rift throughout the song and I’ve always wanted to be able to knock out a good chord or two with it.

Again the key to me achieving this is to find the time and motivate myself to do it. I have the resources available to me in my stepdad who has already said he would teach me. Again, like learning Italian, as I have no true use for it I have put off learning this up to yet but as more and more people around me get to grips with it, it gives me more ambition to play it!

Okay So I bought an electric guitar ( like the one hothotheat has posted) for my husbands birthday over a year ago…..it has been played maybe 6 times since we got it…..It has the Amp and all of the other guitar stuff….So I want to learn to Play… I have taken it out and learned a few chords, but I am trying to learn out of a book and its not working as well As I had anticipated! i think I am gonna look for a Video.
