steve albini has recorded many awesome people including but not limited to poster children, mono (japan), and pj harvey and that guitarist from led zeppelin. he also has said a thing or two that have helped the way i think about ambient mic’ing and the music business. he is also in SHELLAC and plays a guitar made out of METAL.
a man like steve albini has the complex luxury of choosing whom to work with. he can do so either out of intrigue or for money, and i imagine he is quite busy.
i will need to write a record that is awesome enough to excite steve albini, so that he doesn’t just take the money and shuffle my songs through the albini rock band stamper.
i’ve heard from multiple sources that he likes to barbeque and has been doing so for years. hopefully, i can also get in on that. i’ve also heard he is a total asshole.
