write a book review

Why I Want To Do This
Firstly, I want to remember why I liked a book. That should help me find new books I might like. Secondly, I want to be able to suggest books to other people.

How I’m Going To Go About It
Firstly, I’ll learn to write a book review. Just the basic formula. Then I’ll write my review. Then I’ll check other reviews because sometimes they mention things I never considered before.

...and I’m almost done, but it looks like I have to buy something before I can become a valid customer and write a review. Now I have to decide what to buy.

but I threw some words on the page, and that was the goal. I will definitely need to do some revising, but a good start is a good start. I haven’t yet decided on my wedding ring, but I drank champagne at Tiffany’s, which was fun! Short-term goal #2…accomplished!

Tomorrow morning I will write a rough draft (4 pages or so) in about 4 hours. This is not due for a week and a half, so this is really a sub-goal for stop procrastinating. I think these short-term goals are really going to help, because typically I would pretend I was going to start it sooner, but wouldn’t begin until next weekend. I think I’ll churn out the pages, then get feedback from peers in my class to revise before turning it in. (This is a pretty new concept, since I am usually doing things at the last minute!)
