How I did it: I actually flied to Myrtle Beach, SC (Spirit Airlines have incredible discounts - you can get a $29 one way from NYC), stayed couple of days in the waterfront hotel for $40/night (vrbo.com) and drove to Asheville. It was the first week of May and there was a flower festival in Biltmore. And the "roof-top - behind the curtains? (smth like that) excursion was one of the best in my life... I came back a month later. It was an incredible experience.

    I did it! 21 months ago

    In November, I took myself to the Biltomre and strolled through the house and winery. I met a remarkable couple that day, Al and Angie from Canada, who were on tour of the US in their “coach”. They invited me to have dinner with them. I accepted and we talked for hours! We still stay in touch.

    In January, I went back with 3 of my girlfriends. It was a BLAST! We laughed and laughed and drank a lot of wine. (Maybe not in that order.)

    go during Christmas. It was all decorated. It was nice. It wasn’t somewhere I would have gone if it had been my choice. (My grandma and cousin wanted to go. I was just along for the ride.)
