Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

WealthyHeartOoops...

Was that Pepperoni…;-)

Ok, about 20 days into my meatless adventure I was tasked with the pizza pickup. A task I typically do not have the opportunity to enjoy.

With three piping hot pizzas in hand I take a seat in my car. The smell so irresistible, oh my, and I was hungry.

BLAM*! The pepperoni pizza was opened and I was digging-in…in fact I decided that a second pepperoni pizza was needed.

After a slice and a half I ordered pizza number four…;-)

Back to the car to wait for pizza number four…and to resume my feast.

Suddenly, somewhere toward the end of slice number three I realize “OH NO!” I’m eating meat…;-( This called for action, and I mean immediate and direct action.

Yes, I rose to the occassion. I continued my feast…WOW! It is amazingly good…;-)

As I said before, my meatless journey was not one of elightened choice, rather an experiment.

No, I don’t feel bad about it. In fact that was the best pepperoni pizza I have eaten in a long, long time…;-)

After my 30 minute break from the meatless world I’m back on track…well except for that quick bite of piping hot and crispy bacon…;-) This time I was quick to respond as I spit the bite of bacon into the trash.

Ok, I’m back on track.

Talk soon,

WealthyHeartDay 6...

...Step 6!

Started running…;-) I LOVE TO RUN!

Surprise, I have been meatless for 6 days…why…well, I thought I would give it a try for 30 days to see if I feel any different. No agenda at all…just want to see if I perform or feel better without the meat…;-)

Continuing to update my website…and preparing for the first chapter of my book!

Have an awesome day,

WealthyHeartMaking Room...

...so, so CRITICAL!!!

Having the greatest intentions can be lost, so I’ve found, when there is no time, space, or freedom for the intention or opportunity to happen.

This is very much about “what is happening NOW,” it is the “MOST IMPORTANT” focus I can have. Allowing the past “clutter” (physical, emotional, mental, etc.) to intrude on the current moment only serves to create a road block!

Many call this “decluttering,” I on the other hand see it as “making room!”

You choose, which way is more effective for you?

Have an AMAZING day!

With appreciation,

WealthyHeartStep 3...

...Day 3!

The planning begins…no longer am I answering to myself. I’ve setup a support structure…an environment that will keep me moving forward.

As part of the process I have started seeking sponsors for my book…a bold step to say the least…;-)

My goal to raise enough to support my efforts over this 180 day process…at the end a book…and a body of work to support myself and my family.

Initial estimates suggest it will take approximately $17,570 over this 180 day period.

Years of work and writing are online…heck my passion is on the line…

Talk soon,

James

WealthyHeartA glass full of water...

...is full…there is no room for anything else…

A glass full of sand…has room for water…

A glass full of rocks…has room for sand and water…

Water is essential, still if all you have is water how can you have anything else?

One of my first steps is to make room by clearing away the distractions and the things I have allowed to crowd my daily routine.

Cheers,
