be a better spouse

I must do my taxes (since it affects her immigration status application). Important, but … arggg.

but I will see her on Friday. It’s too bad I’ll disappoint her on some of the immigration paperwork she needs, but my job hunt has got to take priority.

Starting today, I will put enough of the past behind me to start toward a better life with my husband, forget that I have my mother memorized, listen completely and wait a few seconds before I speak, talk to my long-distance family more often, reflect on how blessed I truly am, and pray more.
Sounds like too many things to do today, but since I think about them all the time, I don’t think it will be very hard.

By taking care of my health, I can take better care of my spouse.

It took me many years and much work, but I am much nicer to my spouse and it is great. It is ongoing, though, I don’t get to stop and suddenly become self centered again.
