How to finish my extended essay

"It's done, wasn't nearly as painful as others would have you believe, worth doing b/c you have to to get the ib diploma. Still not sure if the diploma's going to be worth it, but i'll get back to you."
How I did it: I just did it. One of my teachers really helped me in finding a good topic and finalizing it. Then I wrote and wrote on my topic, which was probably a bit broad, until I reached around 3500 words, then wound it down with a conclusion.
Lessons & tips: Just start it. 4000 words is a lot, but just work away a little at a time and you'll get there. Once you start, more and more thoughts on your topic come to you.
Pick a topic in a subject you are good at. I did English. If you're an ESL student or aren't the best at writing, do a science experiment.
View it as something to get done, not something you have to get a great mark on. It can only add up to a point to your diploma, so it's not worth too much time and stress.

...I’m almost out of time. I spent my summer working on the essay, but still I didn’t finish it [Almost did]. Though I was really careful with keeping backups and such, I lost the essay when I was transferring some files between my computers and one of the hard disks crashed :/ Luckily, I had one version of it online, but I’m almost back to square one again :P Guess it’s time to roll up my sleeves and get to work, once again.

I tried, I ended up being too lazy. At least I was able to convert the five pages I wrote into both my History IA and my senior project. =P

It’s 8:30 PM on a Friday night, and I have four essays due next week. My extended essay, which I was given a year to write, is due on Monday.
I have the first page down—eleven more to go.

Mine was on how Shakespeare used feminsim in Macbeth. I wrote it in 2 days. I finished it at 7:15 the morning it was due. My advisor did not give me enough hours on it…she said we only met for 2…i don’t understand why she did that….I met with her at least twice as much as some other people met with their advisors and they still got full credit! Ahh…that was frustrating

YIPPY FINISCHED I DID IT I DID MY EXTENDED ESSAY, ok it was a bit of a rush in the end, and I thank CARMEL for helping me prrof read, THANK YOU CARMEL. it feals good to think i will never ever have to do an other one YIPPYY!!!!!!!!! and i loved my topic, D.I.D multi personalitys so interesting.

Okay i had an amazing topic like amazing everyone loved it. And my mentor was the principal of the school which wasnt a good idea but i didnt get to pick. So anyways its due next tuesday and the principal has blown me off so i’m writing it without anyone else’s advice and it might suck awfully.
