so I will have to wait until this country city gets bigger and has one before I can continue studying the cello. Until then, I do try to pick it up every now and again to tune it and get my daughter used to the sound.

yet very difficult. make sure you have a great teacher and know how to read music relatively well.
so i decided to switch from piano to cello. my lessons are going great! my teacher (ward) is awesome. it’s definitely a difficult instrument to learn but i just love the sound of it. i picked up the “everything reading music” book to help the process. thank god for chorus in high school, it’s all coming back to me now.
Both of my younger brothers play cello and they sound awesome! Your never too young to start (my youngest brother is 4, he just started) and it is really pretty. You can also (believe it or not) play many different styles, not just classical.

I work a crazy night schedule and the idea of getting up in the daytime and lugging a cello around town is not appealing to me. I’m looking for a teacher in the Sayville area who has reasonable rates and will come to my home. Is that asking for too much?

I use to play contra bass and guitar before I had to have my thumb reattached. I’m hoping that cello will be good physical therapy for my thumb and my soul.
I don’t see myself ever getting around to this, or ever having enough money for that matter. Maybe someday..
