what’s kind of funny is that in moving back to Seattle, some old friends from a decade ago are coming out of the woodwork! i’ve committed to giving those friendships a new chance. i would like to meet new people with my interests, however.

...and things have changed. now I’m the single person in my group of friends, and that’s a bit awkward. hopefully I can get this goal accomplished soon. I’ll try Meetup.com and volunteering (also for volunteering’s sake)

So I have been here about 10 months and have yet to meet some new people. There are alot of factors that go into this…I am shy, my job isn’t very big for networking, I am tight for money to do things like take art classes and I don’t like going to bars and clubs since I am not much of a drinker nor do I dance. It seems everyone is a transplant so why arn’t there transplant meetups? Anyone up for coffee, a movie, knitting, or checking out a local hot spot/tourist attraction?
