I’m halfway through a pretty simple knit scarf right now. Just a rectangle of knitting and purling. I have so much more to learn, but I will say I know how to knit (at least the basics of it). It’s a nice thing for winter. Even though fall’s just begun, I’ve enjoyed relaxing in front of the tv with my knitting needles and yarn. 20 months ago

I’d been thinking about taking a crochet or knitting class at my local yarn shop, but haven’t signed up. Lo and behold, today I found a Groupon for the classes I was thinking about taking! I paid $65 for a 5-week class, instead of $135. Now I have to sign up. Yay!
This same shop also has Sci-Fiber night (bring a craft project and watch a sci-fi movie) on Friday and a Stitch and Brunch potluck on Sundays. I hope I can hit up one of those this weekend. 20 months ago

I pulled on my yarn and knitting needles and sat in front of my computer looking up how to knit. It’s strange because I vaguely remembered how, but it took quite a while to get it right. I just making a simple scarf, and I know I have a lot of practice ahead of me. 20 months ago

I’ve knitted scarves in the past, but it’s been a while. It seems like a lovely thing to do as the weather gets cooler. I’d really like to learn to do one or the other well enough to get creative with it. I’m leaning towards crochet. 20 months ago
