Visit my family more often

I’ve given up on trying to get away for an entire week, but long weekends a couple times a year are better than not at all.

Holidays are tough to afford so I am using airline miles off times like Veterans Day.

My Mum and my sister are coming up here on Thursday and I’ll be going back with them for the weekend :) Getting out of this flat for the weekend AND Sticky Date Pudding? I am looking very forward to Thursday :D

Visiting people is easier if you plan it out in advance.

KNow what you’re doing from day to day and schedule things to do so you’re always busy. It makes it easier than just trying to find the time without properly planning it. If you do that you hardly ever get to do what you want. It’s too easy to just forget about it, and realize you have other things to do

I booked a flight to visit my family next week.
In the end, is a matter of “will” and “timing” (and any time is good to visit those who love you)

I’ve been doing really well with this goal this summer. It helps that both my mom and sister work at schools so they have the summer off, but still. Hopefully I can keep it up.

I am going to see my parents next weekend, and my little brother is coming to visit here in June. But I need to schedule some time to see grandparents and aunts and uncles and cousins over the summer.

I go home about twice a year on average—once at Christmas and once during the summer. My parents visit me fairly often, but I hardly ever see my brother. And my grandparents and cousins, too. It’s time for me to take responsibility for maintaining relationships with my family members instead of relying on my parents to drag me along to see people at holidays.

In the past couple of days I’ve seen my mom, dad, sister, brother, grandparents and one of my uncles. Woohoo!

I went to my parents for Christmas and saw the whole family and had a good time and this weekend I’m going to go visit my sister which should be really fun.

Went to see the family today and had a very nice time! I only live like 30 minutes away so I should aim for at least every two weeks, preferably every week.
