Learn To Bowl Better

I love bowling… but I’m so bad at it!

This is so much fun. You can go witha group of people and have a good time! Remember its just a game.

So, i’ve gone from eeking out a 100+ game to shooting, as of last night, a 156 average (non-certified, just what i averaged across three games). So, once i get the whole “put the ball in the same spot and get a strike” thing handled, it can only go up!

I am getting a new bowling ball tonight. A Columbia300 Dr. Jekyll. Should match nicely with my moms old Ebonite Don Carter (Yes, THAT Don Carter. The ball is older then I am). Wish me luck!

I’m declaring this one done. A group of friends and I go bowling every so often and after years of being really bad at it and resorting to the granny-bowl, I gave up my pride and foolishness and asked for help. Now I have a personal cheerleader each time I bowl and I’m getting much better. You know, rolling the ball down the center of the lane (this is an improvement). Consistently getting 8’s or 9’s or spares with one roll. Just have to work on getting the strike the FIRST time around.

But for all intents and purposes, I say it’s done and that is was worth it. Being decent at it makes it much more fun than rolling gutter balls all the time.
