have a clear hack policy

I try to formulate a clear hack policy. Gaining informations about a system one can not avoid gaining information about people.

Why learning the secrets of an OS on your machine does not generate any problem, when dealing with a network of computer which are not all your property one can see some moral questions arising.

How far we can go to achieve a theoretical knowledge without cracking into other people privacy? Probably we should think about the real life equivalent: I have no problem to learn how to pick locks, to pick locks to explore some parts of the campus, but I don’t think it is right to enter someone else’s room.
