After having to cut my midback blonde hair to an Aline due to damage from a hairdresser I am still having nightmares. I recently went to another salon and the girl there turned my hair orange and fried. Went to another salon a weel later for a conditioning treatment and the hairdresser there was suppose to just trim my hair…well, he cut it to my ears. I have ugly short orange hair. I look like a boy. I feel UGLY and can’t even stand to go out in public. I am leaving for London at the end of December and I am not touching it till close to my departure. I hope to grow some length and get the color fixed and then let it continue to grow out. I will be happy if I can at least get it to my collar bone. I was almost afraid it wasn’t going to grow at all because of the damage but it has been almost 2 weeks and I can finally see some new root regrowth. Thank goodness. I am taking a hair, skin and nail vitamin right now.
This is a picture of my hair before I had to cut it

So I have been doing this goal for like exactly a year now. I had entries on another thread that I lost because I deleted it to join this one.
Anyhow. This has been a freaking obsession.
My hair is a few inches from my shoulder blades and thought I was going to navy. Turns out im not.
SOO Now im trying to let it grow out some, but its like somewhat dead at the ends because so much of it is still dyed, and you can tell that its been dyed if you look closely.
Two more trims should make it so that I dont even think about it.
I plan to have a trim in April, and again in October. I assume there will still be about an inch that needs cut at that point, but hopefully I wont worry about it by then.
I Love myself for making it this far :)
It was sooo tempting! but the longer it grows the less I think about it!

Most of it has fallen off/I cut it off but now I’m sick of my yoyo hair dye habits and I want to grow it out _

I’m doing this again!
The brown in my henna washed out… now it’s orange. Bleh. So I’m starting again.
Sigh My natural growth was down to my shoulders before I henna-ed, that was 2 years of growth.

Well I didn’t really grow it out… I just henna-ed over it, it’s a pretty shimmery medium brown now (close to my natural colour) I couldn’t stand the orangey blonde any more. I know it’s kinda cheating but I’m counting this as done, even though I really gave it up… the henna looks really natural, it practically is my natural colour any way, and besides, henna is GOOD for your hair!

My natural growth is offically shoulder length now, I’m still not ready to part with all my dye damage. I figure I’ll cut it back to my waist when it’s down to my tail bone, my natural growth should almost be at bra strap length by then. Hurry up and grow!

My natural growth is about an inch from my shoulders, at my shoulders at the back. I thought for a brief moment about cutting it back to my shoulders, but that would be more than half my length, I’m getting so close to waist length! My ends are so frazzled from the dye damage :( but I’m not going to cut them off for another year and half (aside from a couple of 1 inch trims)

It’s a few centimetres below my chin now. Lately I’ve had this over whelming urge to dye my hair blonde, but I must resist.. at least until I have long undyed hair -then if I decide I don’t like the colour I may dye again, but only 2 shadesa lighter or dark and only done professionally.
