make my NaNoWriMo novel halfway coherent

i reworked the entire plot, which is to say i have one now. i’ve also come up with all the characters’ backstories and decided how it’s all going to tie in together at the end. woo! even though most of what i wrote during November isn’t of much use to me now, i’m very glad that i wrote it. because without it, i’d have nothing.

i haven’t had time for this. but, i was just contemplating how deliciously crazy, melodramatic and angsty it all it. it could totally be rewritten as a cheesy Desperate Housewives style black comedy late-night TV show.

Step 1.) print out my draft.
2.) make an outline out of what i have
3.) snowflake a real plot, using as much of what i have as possible
4.) write the additional parts i’ll need in a style similar to NaNo; i.e. total brainpuke narrative
5.) revise.
6.) edit.
7.) publish and live like the fabulous expatriated novelist i am.

alright, at least steps 1-4 are feasible right now…. :p
