Obviously, I'm not this good 1 week ago

I don’t really do a lot of sports, I just like the respect that Olympic participants get. Plus, you could put that on your resume and it would wow your people.

go to the 2012 Olympics 3 weeks ago

After HS I lost out on taking up a partial track scholarhsip
2005 I actually started a college and was competing in track only to returned home because of finanical probs
Today I realise how unfulfilled I am since being in the work force, I still have that track and field dream. Plus that year in college showed me how underdeveloped I am.

I wasnt much of a naturally talent athlete but I met some people who think it possible to take a less talented athlete and with the right training improve them to be as good a more naturally talented athlete. I’m late too, I should have started since the 2008 Olympics. I may be having very unrealistic goals right now but I would be happy with seeing what I could do. I feel like I wasted the time since HS and it bring tears to my eyes.

I also would have to improve by .25 each year to get near the 100m standard. Tryign to hold down a 8 hr job and train 4hr a day like if i was in college going be prob too but I want to see what can do. I dont ever want to sell myself short in life again. i have done that.

Rugby: a Pipe Dream 2 months ago

mens rugby is supposed to be in the 2016 games, hopefully there will be some equality and womens will get to go too. By then I will be 25 which will probably be my prime, so fingures crossed. No matter what happens, I will always train like I am going to the olympics.

My biggest wish 4 months ago

To compete in the equestrian world is to put your whole self into the sport. You need power, money, and time.
I’m a budding hunter/jumper, my beautiful horse is jumping 3-foot, and I’m having the time of my life.
But my goal is the Olympics. I strive to compete in the Show Jumping with my idols.

But I need some serious help in getting there. I’m going to college next year, and I won’t have enough time to devote to my most favorite past-time, even if I drive my horse all the way to Georgia.
I suppose some dreams have to wait.

a dream 8 months ago

i want to compete in the olympics in rowing. i am just a novice on my college’s team, but however crazy this sounds, i just know i’m meant to do this. i get chills when i think about how much i want it. i’m training really really hard and will keep at it. the way i see it, i will never know if i can make it until i’ve put in all the hard work and done my best. and i don’t want to ask myself “what if” later on. i want to know i did my absolute best at something i truly love. and i think i have some unfinished business from my past athletic endeavors…this time i’m not holding back!

So I finally got around to joining another taekwondo school after a year or so of being too busy, too wishy-washy, and training on my own. It’s weird looking back at myself in my last year of college, thinking about how I thought I good and fast then and seeing how much I’ve developed in the past year without a master. And then thinking about how much I’m going to develop from here having found a new master. The senior-year-me wouldn’t hold a candle to the today-me if we had a match under any rule set.

It’s also kind of funny/frustrating that it’ll be two years before my next dan promotion, but I’ll still be on about the same timeline as most people. I guess I just got used to being promoted absurdly quickly. But this is a good place for me now to make up a lot of lost time and experience against other black belts. There’s decent competition for me in this school. Hopefully, things will start getting serious.

Cycling 15 months ago

I always thought cycling would be a fun sport, but that I would have had to have started from a young age. I had thought my best chance was shooting because I could take that up any time and still have a chance, as it has some of the oldest athletes. But, I’ve been inspired by a woman who won gold in Beijing who first got on a racing cycle when she was my age! I got a bicycle today to hopefully commute to work on. If it goes well, I may look into racing.

Other sports I think are interesting include archery, badminton, table tennis, and kayaking.

Hard...but it could happen. 15 months ago

It would be incredible to compete in the Olympics. I am thinking of doing archery, snowboarding, or soccer!

Hello from Beijing 15 months ago

I made it.
That and I’ve advanced through my event so that I will be racing in the Olympic Final on August 16th, to be in medal contention.

The experience has been absolutely wonderful, and everything that I could have hoped for.
The hard work is totally worth it.

Best to all the hopefuls out there.

Well, I have 4 years. Hopefully see you in london... I'll try at least. 15 months ago

I want to do this.
I want to do track and field. I wonder if they have javelin. I also want to do 400m. Maybe long jump.
I wasn’t good at it in high school.
Mostly because I’m fat. LOL.

But isn’t that what the Olympics is about? I’ve always loved running. I’m not as fast as I was when I was little.
But, you know, it’s something to do with my life. It’s a worthy goal.
I wonder how you join? I don’t really want to join the US team… I wonder if you can be a citizen and still join someplace like the Australian team or something. I particularly like france.

I don’t really care about getting gold medal. I just want to compete for glory and achievement, like they did in ancient greece. Didn’t they just get a laurel for winning?
