ride on an elephant

I’m sorry to say that I have ridden an elephant. If I knew then what I know now, I wouldn’t have done it. This practice (and most elephant care practices even at the most “caring” of zoos) is harmful to the elephants, and many of them die in this kind of environment. Elephants need room to move around, and walking all day in a circle does not satisfy this need.

If this is one of your goals in life, please reconsider for the sake of the animal!

All I remember is looking at the top of it’s head and ears thinking, “this is nothing like I thought it would be, and he does’t look at all like Dumbo”. I took a ride on an elephant, and it was…...okay but uncomfortable. I almost fell off, or at least I felt like I fell off. lol. But overall I enjoyed it. You’ll probably enjoy it too. Good Luck!
