I became a Reiki Master in May!

I’ll be taking my Reiki II this September, so I’ll be one step closer to my goal then!

I no longer want this. The arena that most interests me is the more straightforward branch of energy healing- through channeling and manipulation of the energy field, paired with some sort of therapy.
I’ve researched Reiki somewhat and have found out that many of the ancient teachings were mistaken/misinterpreted/manipulated to some extent and that makes me very wary- for those of you who are pursuing this path, I dont mean to be discouraging. I’ve also read that more accurate original information has been found- you just have to be thorough in your research and choice of teachers [as with anything else].
Perhaps I will explore this avenue later on, but for now I am putting it to rest and in its stead I will come up with a goal that I am more impassioned about.

Looks like my mom and closest friend are also interested, so I’m going to wait this one out till next year so I can perhaps use the opportunity to do the coarse together with my mom or friend or even better… both!

First attunement tomorrow 5pm

I started meditating about 8 years ago at a place that was also teaching Reiki. Every Saturday I would steal away for an hour from my infant and toddler in search of peace and respite. I had absolutely no interest in learning Reiki and told the owner that several times…just not for me, period. Well, I stopped going to the group meditation and just practiced at home, because my husband worked most Saturdays. Then about 5 years ago I had a bunch of experiences that lowered me to a major breakdown in my life: 1) clinical depression, 2) parenting issues (with my own kids as well as with my mom and dad) reared their head, 3) lost my job, 4) verge of a divorce and more. I was out for a breather one morning, ready to self-destruct, and I found this Reiki place in a new location. I was instantly drawn to the energy of the room and the same teacher. I had no money, but was resolved that if God wanted me to learn this new thing, it would materialize…and it did..all the way through Reiki Master Teacher, which I am now. I have gone on to learn many other forms of energy healing. And I use a bit of each of them in my work as a healing arts practitioner. But Reiki is the one that “opened me up” to love, life and real inner peace.

I was one of the lucky ones to find a master that trains for free. It is a great experience and something that will help and affect me for the rest of my life. Becoming a “master” is just the beginning. That certificate says you have the knowledge to become one but it will take a lifetime (or more) to truly master it.

I recommend as you are looking for a teacher or saving money or whatever that you do some energy work. I was actually working with the book “Mastering Astral Projection” by Robert Bruce before learning Reiki which helped immensly. Even if you are not interested in astral projection that book and his other one “Astral Dynamics” are worth looking into because they have great energy raising exercises.

Learning about Reiki was the beginning of a new way of life for me. In a couple of months, I did more thinking than I have in a long time. I understand and see things now that would never have crossed my mind if I hadn’t been introduced to this energy. I feel that it’s very important to me personally, to learn how to channel this energy and do positive things with it. Although the people in my life may not always understand, Reiki is a way of living that promotes peace and love. To be able to share this love with other people is a desire of mine, and I believe that becoming a Reiki master is the way to do it. I hope to actually become attuned as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, these things cost money.. I haven’t even gotten my first attunement, but hopefully I will be able to start saving money for it within the next 2 weeks. The debt I am is putting my goals on hold :(
