Make an independent film

I need to make an indy film by the time I’m 25 and hopefully become very succesful.

Do student films count? I think so. I will be starting my one-year Master’s program for Film Scoring this Fall. My thesis will be combined with 5 or 6 other students, and we will make a short film together, so in less than a year, I’ll be working on a film… YAY!

no time

i had a plausible-but-much-too-silly idea today for a mockumentary. i’m not going to use it, but it made me think about coming up with more ideas in order to find a good one.

i also have a partially written [barely started] script which i wrote a month or so ago. maybe i’ll revisit that.

man it was the best feeling today when they called “THATS A WRAP”

but its not completely done…so im not gonna mark it off as ‘done’ until i have a copy of it in my hands :)

First is to have an idea, the write a script

Since I have done this before and am currently too frustrated with the creative team possibilities in this area, I am on strike until the talent level rises to my level. Or at least the dedication rises to my expectations.

I am doing a short film for film festivals this semester, but I want to work on writing a play and screenplay instead of herding filmmaking sheep in ridiculus circles.

YAY! I am really doing this!

well, so its not exactly making my own indie film, but today i got selected for the lead female role in a film called ‘Lemon’. And its not one where all my friends wrote and are directed it. I read about it on a casting site and auditioned. YAY! I am sooo excited, since all i’ve ever done so far is theatre. So we are filming end of February and then I will mark off that I have done this, since i participated in making an indie film ;)

I have so many ideas bounding about in my head, it’s insane. I’ve created so many characters. So many story lines. Cast so many people for the movies I imagine.

Now, if only I could get it down on film…
