chop OFF my hair and dye it red

as expected, i have some time as my current job draws to a close, before i begin teaching. we can’t apply to the schools until after mid april at the earliest, so i seized the bottle of dye while i could :)

i want my hair to be!

i gave up on this goal a long time ago, and since then have cut my hair to be pretty short again. so the chop OFF part definitely happened. if i get accepted to the teaching position, i’ll probably have some time while this job draws to a close and the next job is lined up, when no one cares how professional my hair looks. maybe then i’ll shave my head or try a mohawk or any manner of fun things. and dye it maple red while it grows back :)

the silly things…

well…. now it’s growing out again. hair is just part of self expression and i don’t want it to be a goal. those things are spontaneous and maybe i’ll shave my head, maybe i won’t. we’ll see :)

i made an appointment last night to get it done this weekend. and then i realized how much it will cost. not just this weekend…having short hair means cutting once a month. and bright red – that’s even more $$. right now i have to save up for a potential security deposit when i move into a new apartment. and for the orthotics i have to get so i can get back on track to run the half marathon in may… so, i’ll have to chop it off later rather than sooner. look at me, being all responsible and whatnot.

i miss it being short and red! i was so worried about looking like a grown up lady to get my job, and i don’t think anyone there cares. which is good… means i work with great people! it was probably good to look professional, but i have a year and a half before my job ends, which is plenty of time to color it back brown. my hair is thicker when it’s short, too. and i need a dramatic change in my life that I initiated…
