I’ve been doing well with this one, actually. The only things I have in my inbox are impersonal correspondences such as newsletters.

I haven’t been able to completely stick to my goal of responding to emails within 24 hours, but I’ve definitely gotten better to responding to emails quicker. I no longer let email rot in my inbox for weeks at a time, and I’ve gotten better at answering communication from other places, too (mainly Facebook messages).
I think I can consider this goal done.

Gosh, I am so bad at this one. I don’t know what my problem is. I’m at the computer all freaking day, but I can’t take two minutes to respond to an email? Actually, if it’s just a light email, I’ll write back relatively quickly. But if it’s a “haven’t talked to you in ages, what are you up to” email, then it takes me forever to respond. Weird, huh?

I have greatly improved in this area. Of course I had to cut back on my total activity. The reward is that I am getting more mail. Yippee!I love it!
It took 3 hours (with distractions), but I FINALLY cleared out my inbox. I want to try to start making more quantitative goals, so for this one I am going to say that I want to reply to my emails within 24 hours of receiving them. I think that if I put a time limit on it, I’ll be more likely to stick to my goals. Hopefully it works!
I’m pretty good at keeping my inbox clean but every now and then I get an e-mail and one of the kids starts crying for something or falls and I go take care of them and forget, then keep putting it off until it’s been months and I still haven’t gotten back to someone… in fact i think a friend of mine is still waiting after e-mailing me a month ago… perhaps I need to get off of 43 things and go e-mail them.
Set up 1-2 hours a week to read/reply to all personal email I get.
I’m actually pretty good with this, but sometimes I do this thing where I’ll check my email in the morning, be too tired to respond, and then forget about it until days later. My goal is to avoid that. Also, I want to stop avoiding emailing my boss when I don’t have all my work done. Just because it’s not all done doesn’t mean I can stop corresponding with him—I need to remember that!!

I have actually been doing quite well with this one. It’s almost becoming a habit.

Oh well that’s the price I have to pay for such good friends as I’ve met at Cyberfriends. The response was amazing. And it is a “safe” site. I had a bad experience with another site that seemed innocent but was not…if you get my drift. I suggest it to anyone. I’ve found good people who even encourage my 43 things goals.
