.. well more like a wood really .. 22 months ago

but with useful trees in it like hornbeam & hazel that you can coppice, and mulberries and apples, pears and underplant it with crops in a forest garden sort of way

We support the Woodland Trust and have donated approx £240 this year – at £10 per tree that’s 24 so far.

Over the last 5 years, I guess that I have donated towards 100 trees – add the 60 for our wedding and it totals 160. Only 940 to go!

How many trees make a wood? 2 years ago

Weird how these things happen! We may actually end up achieving this through our secret goal sooner than we think in a roundabout way…

My husband joined this week so now we contribute extra money each month. This hopefully means more trees! Our wedding tree is also doing well in it’s pot and needs a bigger home.

My mini forest will keep on growing one by one unless I win the lottery.

We gave out 60 saplings as wedding presents. The forest is growing!

I read that it takes 1100 x trees per hectare to constitute healthy woodland. I wonder how long it will take me to manage this? I might need some help.

I think that I’ve planted about 10 individually so fa via various schemes, but I my ultimate would be to buy up some agricultural land, turn it into a series of wildlife reserves & build a house/workshops etc.
