(for me, anyway) is to have people over more often. Then I scramble around tidying things, and they do actually stay tidy for a reasonable amount of time.

...However, empty wine glasses do tend to congregate on the counter by the sink when people come over :-)

Now if I could just keep the sink free of dishes… ;-)

Well… If the counters weren’t constantly cluttered up with appliances, this would be much easier.

My boyfriend has too much stuff, and every time I suggest getting rid of something, he mumbles some excuse “I was thinking of giving it to (friend X)/I’m going to take it to work for us to use there.” But I don’t see that happening.

I say, it’s almost September – we live near a college. This is the perfect time to “recycle” the extra microwave, iron, ironing board, and assorted other stuff by putting a notice up at the college. He seems to hate the idea of giving anything away, even if it’s just sitting on a shelf in the closet instead. GRRRRRR!

It’s basically impossible to organize someone else’s stuff. Unfortunately. But I’ll keep trying…
