I have taken classes, studied on my own, and I also watch a telenovela every day. I also have some online conversational friends. I’m not sure how one would determine when one has completed a goal of learning a language, though. I’m still learning things about English and I’m a native speaker! I guess for goal purposes, however, I would like to be more consistent and proactive in my studies. To date, I would say my efforts have been mostly passive, but it has been an easy way to get into it and it’s amazing how much you can absorb just watching Spanish TV. :)

I’m able to pick up on a lot of spanish while working at my internship. I don’t think I’m able to hold a conversation but I’m getting there.

In my 3 years in danish highschool, i have failed tol learn spanish, which lead to i failed with an E. I feel, i’ve got to make up for this, by learning this language for real… No matter how long it will take.

I know some Spanish, mainly because my wife’s first language is Spanish. Also, my employee only speaks Spanish.
I would like my son to be bi-lingual so we encourage both languages around the home.

I got a book on learning Spanish that came with a CD. It seems pretty legit, and very well put together. Most of the firsts lessons would just be review for me, but I’m still really excited to get started with it!
