I need to see a dentist. I think I have a cavity or two. I have been brushing consistently 2x per day and flossing 1x per day, but I haven’t been doing the teeth whitening treatment. I didn’t really think it was working. My teeth feel nice though and my gums never bleed while flossing. :) 2 months ago

Since my last post on this topic, I’ve had many dentist appointments. There are still a few last little things to be fixed, but all the urgent work was done in those first few months.
This week I’m having a regular half-year checkup, and we’ll discuss when to do the last bits and pieces. I can hardly imagine being so scared for so long.
Still have to take better care of my teeth though. The dentist said I should use a tooth pick regularly and I always forget… 2 months ago

So I went to the dentist for the first time in a long time (lets just say it’s been a few years) and it went well. Becoming more vigilant about flossing, but I still hate it and I got some good tips from the dentist. After having braces and having to go to the dentist all the time, I’ve dreaded going back, but I’ve found a great office. Flossing is my biggest hurdle. Who really likes to do it? But I’m going to keep at it. 3 months ago

until I went away for the holidays and got out of all my good habits. when I flossed my teeth tonight my gums bled for the first time in weeks. :( I just need to keep up on it again, my teeth were feeling so clean and lovely!
I need to go the dentist though, I am pretty sure I have a couple of cavities. My poor boyfriend went to the dentist recently and found out half his teeth were cavity-filled. His teeth are very nice LOOKING, but structural issues with the enamel run in the family. I would be devastated if I found out half my teeth had cavities, with a lot of them being really bad! GO TO THE DENTIST REGULARLY, PEOPLE. preventative measures and all that! 4 months ago

I am doing so well! I have been flossing every day and usually brushing twice a day. The only time I don’t brush in the morning is when I wake up late and eat late, I tend to move on with my schedule and sort of forget.
So, still in progress, I still have to remind myself, but I’m almost there to making it a full-blown habit! 6 months ago

been brushing twice a day and flossing once at night. if my gums are sore I take a break. I went overboard the first couple days. but it’s super, super easy now…once you get over that 3 day hump of bleeding and soreness flossing is a lot less miserable! my teeth feel clean and my gums are less swollen than they were before I started brushing/flossing properly.
I do want to try a natural whitening treatment that is just 1 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp peroxide, and 1/2 tsp water. you mix it and then brush your teeth with it for 2 minutes. maybe I’ll take pictures to see if it actually works. you’re supposed to do it once a week until you get the results you want, then once or twice a month to keep it up! 6 months ago

this morning I woke up and went to the bathroom, and there was this picture of really gross teeth on the mirror… even though my mom put it up for my brother…. oh man.
I’ve actually been taking really good care of my teeth lately. My dentist was impressed. 8 months ago

I have been taking better care of my teeth for about the last two weeks. I can already feel it becoming a morning and night habit of mine, I am very excited about completing this goal soon! 9 months ago

when you go to a lovely, kind dentist who’s fixing something serious, and along the way he apologetically tells you that you should be brushing more, and flossing more…not to mention wearing the nightguard religiously in order to keep from breaking more teeth. Yes, that’s right, I have fractured at least a couple of teeth by grinding.
So! Even though my husband says things like ‘we really don’t do flossing here’, I am going to follow the example of a close friend who makes little tick-marks on a calendar each time he flosses. I’m also going to set a timer to brush my teeth for 3 minutes each night and each morning. And give A license to remind me to wear the silly nightguard.
Gah. As I said, embarrassing. But I really don’t want to lose my teeth. 10 months ago
