NaNoWriMo 2007

Figures that would be the best title for this. I did finish it, and it wasn’t as hard as I thought it’d be, although I was literally crawling into the finish line when my chair decided to declare war on my back and destroyed it, followed shortly after by my wrists going on strike. Subsequent health bills followed. Excuses for massages. Etc.
What I got in return was really worth it, though. It’s not perfect stuff, and I’m scrapping most of it to take it in a different direction, but I don’t count it as loss because I really had so much fun and I got some ideas clear; it’s done wonders for inspiration. Hard work, but heaps of fun and really worth it.

I’m getting more and more excited for November. Now I’ve got an idea of creating the characters and illustrating them so that I’ll have images of these people around me as I write. If only I could be fearless regarding costume design I’d know I’ve found my calling…ack!

...but I’ve already got my idea. I am really excited for NaNoWriMo this year, though I’ll be in grad school and well, I probably should be focusing on all the Chinese I don’t know!
