I took the test, passed it, and went to check out the local group. Wow, how underwhelming – nobody was particularly friendly, and conversations about “wow, we’re all so smart, so our club here may have the same struggles and quarrels and power games as any other club, but at least we are childish and immature in an unusually intelligent way” weren’t what I’d had in mind. Okay, so I only talked to the four or five people who sat near me, but they were all either shy, or prejudiced against women using computers, or both. No, thank you.
