grow something from a seed

So I planted california wildflowers yesterday in 24 different little pots-i dumped a whole bag of seeds that could probably germinate 6000 square feet-i am thinking that something should grow out of these 24 baby pots! I just have to keep it moist for the next week and from there it is just letting them root and get big so i can transplant them into something larger….biggest opstacle is the sun and my cat right now. Either they will be fried or they will be eaten…not sure which is worse!

So i did some research and found out which flowers and vegetables would grow on my porch! It gets a wicked dose of hot California sun for a substantial amount of the afternoon, so finding a plant that likes drought like conditions was absolutely necessary. I went with California Wildflowers, a blend of poppies,thyme,sage,and lots of flowering type things whose names i don’t know. It was a hummingbird mixture, so hopefully our orange trees and these flowers will attract the cute little guys. Now, the next step is planting them…be in touch!
